Watercolouring
I am very new to water colouring. I'm a little frightened of it to be honest! I see videos of people doing it so effortlessly with stunning results and I am in awe. But I am forever wanting to learn and improve so I bought a good set of water colour paints, and this gorgeous stamp set from Altenew to give it a go. I think I did......ok. It'll definitely take a lot of practice but I really enjoyed doing it. I white embossed the flowers so the paint did not run, and used glimmer paper for the sentiment.
Stamps: Persian Motifs (Altenew)
Ink/Colouring: Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 COLOR SET
Cardstock: Copic X-Press It, Tim Holtz watercolour paper
Papers: -
Accessories: Happy Birthday Die (My Favourite Things)

Your card is beautiful, I can't believe your a beginner. I feel the same way as you and have also purchased the same Altenew stamp. I love the colors you used...I must go give it a try. ha ha

ReplyDeleteThank you and good luck!
I just found your card today and it is gorgeous! I'm the same way about watercoloring. I've taken classes and am so glad I didn't get a grade! However, I just watched Jennifer McGuire's video using this very same stamp set and I'm hooked! Going to put that palette of paint on my wish list for Christmas! It is now in my Pinterest folder for Coloring! Thank you for blessing my day!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how beautiful your card turned out, especially since you say you have no experience, it's always that blank piece of white paper staring at you. But at least with stamping you already have your image there, you don't have to draw it. Good luck with the rest of your endeavors.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Inspirational! I am trying this too! Thanks for sharing your tips for all of us new-be's!!!!
