Winnie & Walter Challenge
Ok so I'm a huge fan of Winnie & Walter stamps. But sadly, Sugar Rush is the only one I own! How embarrassing! So I'm entering their belated 2nd Birthday Bash competition to try and win a voucher! The exchange rate for the Aussie dollar at the moment is terrible, so a voucher would be nice! I have decided to enter the create your own background challenge. Seems how I only have the one stamp set I was limited to what I could do, but decided heat embossing the happy birthday sentiment repeatedly over a smooch background was the way to go! Keeping the background the focal point, I just coloured the cupcake with copic markers and layered it on vellum and glitter circles. Winnie & Walter, I hope you like my card!!

Springs In!
Hi there! I'm sharing today a card I made with the gorgeous digi Celebrate Joyfully. I coloured her with copic markers. I am no copic expert. I have never done any classes or watched videos, I just colour how I please, and on this one I coloured her face with different colours than I'm used to, and I love how much better it turned out. Funny that! I guess I'm just saying that for all you copic novices or those wanting to try copics, give it a go! And experiment! I have to say that Tiddly Inks images are BY FAR the best to colour.
Anyhoo, on my card I used papers from Kaisercraft's All That Glitters for the background. I watercoloured a piece of Tim Holtz paper and distressed the edges to lay on top of that. And I am a little obsessed with feathers at the moment. I'm not sure why! I picked some up at my local craft store for my kids to use and ended up using one myself! I think it's a perfectly sweet addition don't you think!

Stacks Of Happiness
Here is the final card I will show you from the magazine (Australian Papercraft Essentials - Issue 49). If you would like to see the others, and all the other wonderful cards, you can purchase it at your local newsagency! This image is a favourite of mine, because it can be used for Christmas OR birthdays. In this case, I did a monochrome birthday theme. This would look cute in so many different colours. I also couldn't help but add some messy silver thread behind the presents to look as if there was a whole other level of wrapping struggles yet to go.

Cardstock: Stampin Up - Pear Pizzez, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Smokey Slate. Copic - X-Press It

Hope You Reel In A Wonderful Day
Here is the second card for my feature in Australian Papercraft Essentials this month. I used Fishing Birdbrain from From The Heart Stamps. I printed the image onto a rough watercolour cardstock. I coloured the bird in with prismacolour pencils. I wanted the texture to look rough so only coloured lightly. In keeping these cards simple I used some gold spray for the background and some burlap for tbehind the image. In yellow this could be a great card for a male or female don't you think!

Did Someone Say Party?
Hi there! Today I have the first of 3 cards to show, as part of a feature on the birdbrain stamps from From The Heart Stamps. You can see this in the February issue (Issue 49) of Australian Papercraft Essentials magazine. I looove this first image. I wanted to colour the bird with bright colours so decided to match the background. And it was soooo quick to do. I just grabbed a few ink daubers and dabbed! Check out two more cards from this feature in my next post!

Hi there! I made a baby card a long time ago with this adorable elephant on it, and I had a request to do two neutral congratulations baby cards with the same layout. Here's post with the original card http://papercraft-designs.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/happy-new-baby.html
I loved doing these in yellow and green. Baby cards are my favourites, but they're great to see in other colours beside pink and blue!

Welcome Baby
Please excuse the craft table background in this photo. I made this for a friend and it was gone before I was able to photograph it properly! Now this card started out as a bit of a mess, I was using some inks to smooch that ended up turning out WAY too bright and overpowering. But I decided to spray some white ink quite heavily over it and I love the way it turned out. I would normally only spray once or twice onto a card but this was several times and the effect was great. Aside from that I kept it super simple, and who can resist a bit of felt on a baby card!
Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Plus One
Ink: Tim Holtz - Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade. Momento - Tuxedo Black. Hero Arts - Unicorn White spray
Cardstock: Stampin Up - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Vellum. Tim Holtz - Watercolour paper
