Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I hope you all have a lovely day celebrating with loved ones. We don't give or receive Easter cards, but my mother in law wanted one for a friend of hers who just happens to love rabbits. It was the only Easter card I made this year! The image and sentiment are from Tayored Expressions', and the papers are My Mind's Eye. I coloured the bunny in with copic markers and mounted the circle on glimmer paper. I added a double line of faux stitching around the edges.

Stamps: Easter Doodles (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Copic markers
Cardstock: Whisper White (Stampin Up), Copic X-Press It
Papers: Lavender (My Mind's Eye), Glimmer paper (Stampin Up)

Caution

Another birthday card!!! It's a real busy time of year for us birthday wise. The little boy I made this for loves cars, truck, trains, diggers, you name it! And I was so excited to use this new stamp set from tailored Expressions. It even comes with a matching die, making it very quick to use! I coloured the digger and traffic cone in with copic markers and used felt for the grass.

Stamps: Dig In (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Copic markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, basic Black (Stampin Up), Copic X-Press It
Papers: Out Of The Blue & Fly A Kite (My Minds Eye)
Accessories: Spotlight button, Flat bottom cloud die & Big Numbers die (My Favourite Things), Grass border die (Taylored Expressions), Taylored Expressions felt, Spellbinders circle die, Whimsey Farm twine

Roar

Just like my son, his best friend loooooves dinosaurs. And his favourite colour is orange, so I decided to make an orange dinosaur card for his birthday, of course! I really need a new dinosaur stamp set because the only one I have is this Stampin Up one, and I can only give the same kids the same dinosaurs on their cards maybe twice??? Anyway, for this card I used this cool star paper from an old My Mind's Eye collection, and used a circle of vellum over the top right corner. I love adding vellum over part of a bold print. Sometimes the print is a bit much without it! I coloured the T-Rex in copic markers and used dimensionals to pop him up a bit so he looked like he was standing in the grass. And yes.....I finally got myself a grass die, so no more hand cutting! Yay!

Stamps: Dinoroar (Stampin Up)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso (Stampin Up)
Papers: Fly A Kite (My Mind's Eye), Glimmer paper (Stampin Up)
Accessories: Stampin Up button, Hemptique twine, brown marker pen, Spellbinders circle die, Page banner strip die & Big numbers dies (My Favourite Things), Pinking Circle Stacklets & Grass Border dies(Taylored Expressions)

Mothers Day Wishes

Firstly, sorry about the slightly wonky photo. I accidently deleted the good one off my camera & then sold the card so I only had this photo to upload :( Anyway, I just received another Papertrey Ink order in the mail and these gorgeous flowers are from the Delightful Dahlia Additions stamp set. I've never tried 3 step stamping before, and these flower images were a bit tricky to line up. I'm sure I'll get used to it the more I use it though :) I think they look stunning still. I used Teresa Collins papers and embossed a white frame onto kraft cardstock for the sentiment.

And who can resist a giant birthday cake ;) I coloured this one with copic markers and added some dazzling diamonds to the edges, as well as a silver number 4 sticker. Christening/Baptism Invitation

Here is a quick invitation I made for my son and daughters upcoming Christening. Because they are both getting Christened at the same time I couldn't do it either pink or blue, so I thought yellow, grey and white was a appropriate and lovely combination :) The cross is from Stampin Up and I inked it in So Saffron Ink and then inked the corners in Smokey Slate.

Stamps: By Invitation (Papertrey Ink), Trefoil Cross (Stampin Up), Unknown Basic Grey stamp
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), So Saffron, Smokey Slate (Stampin Up)

Bubble Therapy

I'm having some trouble with Blogger at the moment so hopefully it'll all be figured out soon and I can get some posts up. I have so many to share! This one was in drafts so it was good to go! It's almost Mothers Day again (in Australia), and so I have started making a few cards for the mothers and grandmothers in my life. This card was featured in last month's issue of Australian Carmaking, Stamping and Papercraft. The floral paper (which looks a bit like old style wallpaper don't you think?), is from Crate Paper's On Trend collection. I paper pieced it for the bath and used stamps from The Cat's Pajamas and Verve for the sentiments.

Stamps: Bubble Therapy (The cat's Pajamas), Happy Thoughts (Verve)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Crum cake marker
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Crumb Cake (Stampin Up)
Papers: On Trend (Crate Paper)
Accessories: Verve Scalloped Trim Trio border, Fancy Pants Blue button, Spotlight black buttons and lace, Stampin Up linen thread, sewing machine, Stampin Up dazzling diamonds
