Big Delivery

I have two cards to share with you today. Both using the same stamp set. My cousins eldest is 3 and my friends youngest is 2, and they both love cars, so I made them both a car card I know they'll love!

Because I made them both at the same time, I used the same My Mind's Eye paper pad - Boy Crazy. It's a collection I haven't used much of, but has perfect colours for toddler cards :)I coloured both cars and cupcakes with copic markers and added dazzling diamonds on the cupcakes.

Roar

It was my son's 4th birthday two weeks ago, and although he had a Kung Fu Panda themed party, he requested a dinosaur card  with 2 dinosaurs on it. Yes, very specific! So this is what I made him! He loved it. The dinosaurs are from a Stampin Up set and I coloured them with Copic markers. I hand cut the grass and used white cardstock and blue paper for the clouds. I used glimmer paper to cut the 4. I love those chunky numbers for kids cards!

Stamps: Dinoroar (Stampin Up)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry cobbler, Vellum, Glimmer Paper (Stampin Up)
Papers: Fly A Kite (My Mind's Eye)

Special Delivery

Papertrey Ink has the most wonderful baby stamps. This set is probably my favourite. The stork is so adorable. I stamped it on white cardstock and added some dazzling diamonds to it's wing. The papers are My Mind's Eye. I used white cardstock and vellum for the clouds and sewed through them. I am STILL yet to buy a grass border die, so mine is hand cut, and I sponged the tips with Pistachio ink. And after I made this one for a friends mum, I had some requests for a boy version. So here it is!

I'm not sure which one I like better!!!

Stamps: Bundle Of Love (Papertrey Ink)

Ink: Tuxedo Black 9momento), Copic markers, Old Paper (Tim Holtz)

Ewe Complete Me

Hi there! I have a set of three cards for you today. They were published in Februarys issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft.

I used the one stamp, from the Cat's Pajamas Ewe Complete Me set, to create all three cards. I couloured them in with copic markers, and all the papers are from My Mind's Eye.

Such cute sentiments, they could be used for partners, friends, or family!

Stamps: Ewe Complete Me (The Cat's Pajamas)

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Copic markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Grey (Stampin Up)
Papers: Dolled Up (My Mind's Eye)

On Your Wedding

One of the most difficult card genres I have trouble making is wedding cards. I love to make Valentines day cards, and Love cards, but wedding cards are another level I feel. For this one, I used the MFT modern Morocco cover plate die. I layered a glimmer paper heart on a white scalloped heart, and embossed a smaller teal heart. I used two overlapping doilies for behind the hearts, and a spellbinders label to stamp the sentiment on. It was the perfect size!

Stamps: Happily Ever After (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Island Indigo (Stampin Up)
Papers: Glimmer Paper (Stampin Up)
Accessories: Spellbinders hearts, and label dies, doilies, MFT Modern Morocco die, Stampin Up crystal buttons & ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folder

It's A Girl

I love making baby cards. And one of my favourite sets to use is Hello Baby from Flourishes. However, I have always used the other images in this set and this is the first time I've used this tree one, and oh my gosh I love it!!! It's very quick and easy to colour. And I paper pieced the baby clothes and bib using some old My Mind's Eye papers that I always seem to use on my baby cards! I added a vellum label and doily behind the image and some glimmer paper and lace to make it especially girly :)

Stamps: Hello baby (Flourishes)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Copic markers
Cardstock: Copic X-Press It, Whisper White (Stampin Up), Glimmer paper (Stampin Up)

Happy Birthday

What little girl doesn't love fairy wings, glitter and pink right? I had that in mind when I made this card. The adorable image is a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. I coloured her with copic markers and added some dazzling diamonds to her wings. You can't really see in this picture, but I embossed white flowers onto the text paper and stamped pink lines over them. I don't use yellow very often, but this paper from Fancy Pant's Wonderful Day collection was just the right shade for what I wanted.

Stamps: Happy bug and extras digital stamp (Tiddly inks), Moka Madelyn (Taylored Expressions), Flower Friend (Simon Says Stamp), Gorgeous Grunge (Stampin Up)
Ink: Tuxedo black (Momento), Copic markers

Cakes

Hi there! I have a set of three cards to show you today. I was getting rid of some of my older papers and came across these My Mind's Eye papers from their Rosy collection (now archived).

I also had these big red buttons on my desk and decided to make some fun cake cards. The stamps are from The Cat's Pajamas, and I coloured them in with copic markers.

These doilies are from my local packaging warehouse. They are the perfect size for my cards and I use them a lot. And they were only $4 for a pack of 250! Not all craft supplies have to come from craft shops!

With Sympathy

I just received my first order from Papertrey Ink! I am a long admirer of their stamps and especially the work of their amazing design team and I don't know why it's taken me this long to put an order in! But anyway, this is my first card with my new stuff! I love this Feather Finery stamp set. The sayings are so uplifting, and although not sympathy sentiments, I thought the feathers were just perfect for that. And I'm a little obsessed with background dies. Who isn't at the moment!

Stamps: Feather Finery, Boutique Borders - Sympathy (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Calypso Coral, Crisp Canteloupe (Stampin Up)
Cardstock: Whisper White, basic Black (Stampin Up)
Papers: -
Accessories: Papertrey Ink Chevron cover plate, Spotlight sequins and buttons, Whimsey Farm twine

Forever

Another card using Papertrey Ink products. I was a little unsure about buying this heart coverplate but I'm so glad I did. I love it! I cut it a little on the sides to fit my card size, and added some glimmer paper behind it. The sentiment is from the Sending My Love set. I only really had "I Love You' sentiments and not much else to use on a love card, so this stamp set is perfect. The sentiments are large, and are worded lovely. The paper is from Studio Calico and I paper pieced the banner part with the same paper.

Stamps: Sending My Love (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Vellum (Stampin Up)
Papers: Snippets (Studio calico)
Accessories: Stampin Up clear buttons, Spotlight lace, Papertrey ink Heart cover plate

Oh Carp

This is the first belated birthday card I've ever made! I'm always on time sending mine out and have never needed a one, but Taylored Expressions have the cutest belated birthday stamps I couldn't resist buying a few. My dad loves to fish and I know I'll use just the image on one of his future birthday cards, but I thought I'd make this card a bit neutral so it can be used for a male of female. Or is it to feminine? Regardless, I coloured the fishies with copic markers and the papers are from Teresa Collins' Family Stories collection - love them!

Stamps: Oh Carp (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Copic markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Grey (Stampin Up), Copic X-press It

Got Love

I'm so into Valentines Day cards this year! I've loaded up my supplies with cute love stamps and I can't stop using them! This adorable penguin is from The Cat's Pajamas. I lightly coloured it in with copic markers and paper pieced the hearts. Unfortunately this is my last heart doily. I must buy more of them! So cute! This paper is actually Stampin Up and I love the bright colours for Valentines. And it's a nice change from pinks!

It's Your Birthday

Here's another card I made over the weekend. I used the It's Your Birthday stamp from Taylored Expressions and coloured it with Copic Markers.  I sponged around the edges with Old paper Ink and paper pieced the tiny balloons with some of the floral paper from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection. So cute! I added some zig zag stitching up the top and a giant button which is actually from a Fancy Pants Christmas collection!

Celebrate

Hi! We've just had a long weekend here in Australia, and with my husband home to help with the kids, I had plenty of time to make some cards :) I'm going to call this one I've made a pre teen/teenager birthday card. Always a tricky age group! Can't go wrong with stars though! I die cut these ones using the MFT Stacking Stars die and did some shabby stitching through some of them. I love orange and teal together, and I think they work well as bright boy colours don't you think?

Love

So I'm really in a Valentines mood of late. I only make a card for my husband each year and don't really make too many other love cards throughout the year, but I just can't seem to stop! Perhaps he'll receive a few, just because, this year! Another thing I can't stop right now is using vellum and glimmer paper. I can't seem to pack them away! I'm sure they'll make their way back into my draw at some point. In the meantime, here's a cute card and bottle set I made using some Basic Grey papers and a Taylored Expressions bottle - just the right size for some small candy or mints. Although I'm yet to fill mine yet! The stamp I used is from the Doodle Flowers set from Jane's Doodles. I used white embossing powder to create the flowers, and white embossed some leaves on vellum. I did some small zig zag stitching on the top right of the vellum and on the green paper strip.

Stamps: Doodle Flowers (Jane's Doodles)
Ink: -
Cardstock: Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Papers: Serendipity (Basic Grey)
Accessories: Taylored Expressions bottle, Thickers, My Mind's Eye buttons, white sequins, corner rounder, sewing machine, white embossing powder and heat gun, Spellbinders circles dies, cuttlebug dots embossing folder, doily, white twine (Stampin Up)

The Nicest Place To Be

This adorable image is from the Ewe Complete Me stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas. It's another set I'm completely in love with, and just looks so super cute on a card. I coloured the sheep with copic markers, and stitched around the edge of the cardstock. The pennant banner is from My Favourite Things. The gorgeous pastel papers are all from an older My Min's Eye collection - Fiddlesticks. With Valentines day coming up, I think I might give this to my husband. He works such long hours and kids and I see him for only a few minutes each morning before he leaves for work, but he's home so late that we're all in bed when he comes home. Weekends are so important to us & spending time together as a family is our priority. I thought this sentiment was just perfect for him :)

Stamps: Ewe Complete Me (The Cat's Pajamas)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White
Papers: Fiddlesticks (My Mind's Eye)

Simply Wonderful

I've got a little bit of a vellum obsessions at the moment. And one of my favourite ways to use it is to emboss on it with white embossing powder. In this case I used the My Favourite Things Polka Dot Greetings stamp set and embossed the dot frame. I cut around it and added the sentiment using dimensionals. I added another strip of vellum just under the floral paper. For a bit of sparkle I added a circle and butterfly in glimmer paper. And to finish it off I added a bit of shabby stitching  down the bottom.

Stamps: Polka Dot Greetings (My Favourite Things)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Cardstock: Whipser White, Basic Black (Stampin Up)
Papers: On Trend (Crate Paper), Glimmer Paper (Stampin Up), Vellum
Accessories: Spotlight buttons, MFT Faux Crochet Border die, White embossing powder, Stampin Up circle punch and Butterfly punch, Kaisercraft pearls, edge distressor, sewing machine

Pinwheels and Popsicles

In last months issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft I had 3 cards featured in the stampers challenge using Flourishe's Pinwheels and Popsicles stamp set. Here is the first of the cards. (I only have two to show you today as I forgot to photograph the third before I sent it away. I should receive it back soon to post it.!) This card features the Pinwheels, and Blowing Wishes Your Way sentiment. I cut a spellbinders circle from some Echo Park text paper and stamped two pinwheels on it. I stamped a second set of pinwheels on the same paper and coloured them with copic markers. I cut them out and stuck them on to the pinwheels in the circle with some dimensionals and added a kaisercraft crystal. I embossed and sewed a kraft background, and added some faux stitching around the sentiment with a Crumb Cake marker.

Stamps: Pinwheels and Popsicles (Flourishes)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb cake
Paper: Sweet day (Echo Park)
Accessories: Spellbinders circle, petite scallop circle and label dies, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spotlight lace, Kaisercraft Crystal, sewing machine

Here is the second card. You can see it's similar to a card in a previous post. I used the same colours and papers. I made this first, and when I needed a card for a friends birthday, I knew she'd love something like this so I made the other one.

This one features the cake, and Wish Big sentiment in the Pinwheels and Popsicles set. I coloured it with copic markers. I sewed a piece of vellum over the dot paper background and added a pennant banner with black pearls. Check back for the third card soon!

Stamps: Pinwheels and Popsicles (Flourishes)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Basic Black (Stampin up), Neenah Solar White, Vellum
Paper: Cut & Paste - Flair (My Mind's Eye)

When one door closes...

Here's the second card I made with the Going Places stamp set from Taylored Expressions. I just love this sentiment. It's so positive and a great idea to put on a card for someone who's maybe lost their job or had a failed relationship. So many possibilities! Because I thought it was a cheery sentiment I thought I would make the card in cutesy colours. These papers are from Teresa Collins' He Said She Said collection. I stamped the door in Crumb Cake ink on white cardstock and layered it on a white circle and Crumb Cake cardstock. I die cut the clouds with the Enjoy the Journey die and added some dazzling diamonds to the edges.

Stamps: Going Places (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake (Stampin up)
cardstock: Whisper White, Crum Cake (Stampin up)

Bucketful Of Love - For Taylored Expressions

Hi there! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Years. I hosted our family Christmas this year and it was so wonderful. Just before Christmas I ordered some new Taylored Expressions goodies, and the December Stamp Of the Month and die was put in with my order by accident. After emailing them to let them know they allowed me to keep them! How lovely of them. And I thank Taylor and the team very much. So I just had to make a couple of cards with it to show my appreciation. This Bucket Full Of Love one is the first one I made.I used the frame die to create the background behind the bucket and added some dazzling diamonds to the border. I cut 11 hearts from the other bucket in the stamp set to use for the heart explosion :) I also stamped the bucket on some grey paper from My Mind's Eye Ruby collection and cut it out. I hope you all have a fabulous 2014! XXX

Happy Birthday!

Hi there! I've been super busy leading in to Christmas this year. I have to give such praise to my 3 & 1/2 year old boy and 5 month old girl. I've dragged them to the shops almost every day in the past two weeks, and they've been great. My son just discovered Santa has a naughty or nice list and I'm sure he's just making sure he's on the nice list! And my baby girl is just a dream to go out with. She already love shopping with her mummy ;)
Anyway, my card today is using some new products I recently bought from Simon Says Stamp and My favourite Things. I'm just in love with the little florals. I have made a really cool set of 4 cards with this set that will be in an upcoming magazine. I'll keep you posted! And the 'Happy" die with co-ordinating stamps is versatile. I give out a lot of birthday cards so thought it'd be the first one I try with it. The papers are from an old My Mind's Eye collection.

Stamps: Peaceful Wildflowers (My Favourite Things), Happy Sentiments (Simon Says Stamp)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock: Very vanilla, Basic Black (Stampin Up)

TE Graphic Greetings

This is the third card I've made with this Graphic Greetings Birthday stamp from Taylored Expressions. And I'm so excited about a few more from the collection that are on their way to me now! I actually made a 4 of these to give to a local boutique gift store where I sell some of my cards, and they sold them all in 2 days! Teal is one of my favourite colours to work with, especially with a neutral base like black, grey, kraft or white. For this card I used papers from Teresa Collins' Memorabilia collection. I embossed the stamp with white embossing powder on black cardstock and added a layer of vellum and kraft cardstock underneath. The flower is from Prima, a very old collection - tea roses. Probably my all time favourite flower line. And this teal one is my last one :( I'm happy it looks great on this card though!

Thanks - Happy Birthday

This is my first card with a digital stamp! I'm a huge fan of Tiddly Inks and their stamps and when they had a sale recently on their digital stamps I couldn't help but buy a few to try them out! I think I'll always prefer the clear stamps so I can position them where I want, but it certainly won't be the last digital stamp I buy! Printing this little girl out was easy and I loved that I could print her in different sizes! I coloured her with Copics (and please excuse my bad hair colouring!) Originally I had a Thanks sentiment from Tiddly Inks on it aswell, but my mum needed a girl birthday card immediately so I quickly changed it. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from Verve.

Birthday Wishes

Teresa Collins designs the most gorgeous papers. One of my favourite collections of hers is He Said She Said. I'm on my third 6 x 6 paper pad :) I started by stamping some background dots using a Kaisercraft stamp and white craft ink. I added a piece of text paper and distressed the edges and a scalloped circle with half a doily over the top. The banner is cut using the Taylored Expressions Pennant Border die. The gorgeous peach flower is a Prima Tea Rose.

Happy Bday 2U

I'm so excited that I've been able to do all four Viva La Verve sketches this month! It's been a loooong time. But I'm back into the swing of things now! I have three cards in this months issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine, showcasing this stamp set from Flourishes. The issue will be available next week :) So I'll be able to show you those cards soon! This card I made today however, is similar to one of the magazine cards. I needed a birthday card for a friend of mine and she loved the one that's in the magazine. I didn't have it back from the publishers yet so I made her this one instead! I loved the sketch, but I added a few extra circles, and a sentiment tag too. I also used Whimsey Farm Twine and I'm very impressed with the quality. Some twines I've used have unraveled or freyed. This one from Whimsey Farm is great to use.

Stamps: Pinwheels & Popsicles (Flourishes)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Barely Blush (Stampin Up), Neenah Solar White
Papers: Flair (My Mind's Eye)
Accessories: Whimsey Farm twine, Spotlight buttons, Stampin Up circle punch, Black marker pen, Stampin Up scallop edge punch
