To The Moon And Back
I had every intention of creating a baby card when I got out my "To The Moon" stamp set from Verve. But as I sat there trying to come up with a plan, I thought about these little robot stamps I had tucked away and thought the one with the heart on it would be so cute together with the "I Love You To The Moon and Back" saying. I stamped both on Kraft cardstock and lightly coloured the edges of the robot in with a blender pen and Soft Suede ink pad. I stamped the robot on the pink paper as well and just cut out it's heart to add to the main robot. The sketch is for Viva La Verve May Week 1.
Stamps: Robot Trio (Hero Arts), To The Moon (Verve)Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Frayed Burlap (Tim Holtz)

Happy Birthday
I just bought the Spellbinders ribbon label die set and couldn't wait to use it! I have to be world's worst bow tier so these ribbon labels are a great way for me to put ribbons on my cards without having to tie them in a bow! You can't see it well, but there are 3 layers of white cardstock behind the main yellow panel punched with a doily lace punch and layered on top of each other. I curled the wires of the flowers and distressed the edges of the pink paper.
Stamps: Big Wish (Verve)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Pink Pirouette
Cardstock: Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Papers: Happy Days (Echo Park)

Thanks So Much
As I said in my last post, I think painting flowers is my new favourite thing! It's such a great way to match your flowers to your project! This one was bright yellow and I painted it with antique white paint (which is a cream colour). I also lightly painted the edges of the papers for a bit of a shabby look. The papers are My Min's Eye, Howdy Doody. The faux stitching on the oval is done with a Close to Cocoa Stampin Up marker.
Stamps: Wordy Birds, Sunny Days (Verve)
Ink: Soft Suede, Close to Cocoa Marker (Stampin Up)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (Stampin Up)
Papers: Howdy Doody (My Min's Eye)
Accessories: Prima flower, button (Bag O buttons), Stampin Up twine, Spellbinders oval and scallop oval
Happy Birthday
I had this image already coloured and sitting in my scrap pile waiting to be used, and thought the colours would match perfectly to the soft shades of this paper. I lightly painted the blue flower with white paint to soften the colour of it, as it was quite bright. I have a lot of little flowers that are either bright or have a little too much glitter, so I think painting them is going to be my new favourite thing! I just used a water based, non toxic acrylic paint.

Happy 3rd Birthday!
I made this card for my nephews 3rd birthday coming up in June. I used papers from the It's A Boys Life collection from Echo Park. They're great for little boy cards. I coloured the image with copic markers and stampin up ink, and it's adhered with dimensionals. The button is navy, although it looks really dark in the photo.

April Diva Dare Challenge
This sketch is for Viva La Verve April Week 4, and boy was it a challenge! I sat at my desk for probably half an hour before I came up with anything decent! But I decided to take on a second challenge - the April Diva Dare challenge, to use kraft, corrugated cardboard or chipboard on your card, and that got the creative juices flowing! I used a crimper on some kraft cardstock for the arrows, as well as distressed the edges and sponged them with white ink. The flower is a prima flower, but the centre was a bit ugly, so I ripped it off and stuck on a small prima rose on it instead. If I could sew, I would've stitched the edges, but instead I just paper pierced :( Going to sew on a card before the end of May. That's my new goal! Anyway, i didn't want a large sentiment on the card so I used a small Happy Birthday from Verve's "Big Wish" stamp set.
Stamps: Big Wish (Verve)
Ink: Crumb Cake, White craft ink (both Stampin Up)
Cardstock: Whisper White and Kraft (Stampin Up)
Papers: This & That (Echo Park)

Thoughtful Deed
I just love the fresh colours of these papers. So perfect for a cheery thankyou card. It's Autumn here is Australia and I think grey, orange and aqua are perfect Autumn colours together! The pleated satin ribbon is from a local scrapbook store and I'm unsure of the brand sorry, it was off a reel.

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock: Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Papers: On The Bright Side - Two (My Mind's Eye)

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes" challenge. I am loving the wood backgrounds in the My Mind's Eye collections. It's actually inspiring me to make a few scrapbook pages! These papers are from the On The Bright Side - One collection. Can I also give a shout out to Simon Says Stamp - I'm from Australia and order from them regularly. My Mind's Eye Hexagon Challenge
My Mind's Eye is by far my favourite paper company. No matter how many paper collections I buy, I always seem to go back to them when I make my cards. I love every collection they bring out! Their April challenge is to use hexagons on your card, layout or altered item. All the details are HERE if you want to check it out. On my card, I used papers from the Dolled Up and Be Happy collections. The little hexagons are so adorable! The sketch is for Viva La Verve April Week 3.

Masculine birthday
Oh boy do I struggle with masculine cards! I am commited to making more of them because I'm sure the more I make the better I'll get. It's so hard when I love flowers, butterflies and lace so much!!! Anyway, the sketch is for Viva La Verve April Week 2. I turned the sketch sideways and used buttons instead of a bow. The papers are Echo Park. They have a lot of boyish colours and styles in their This and That collections so I bought them hoping to improve my masculine cardmaking skills! Lol!

Just For You
I usually stay well away from orange on my cards. I just can't seem to do anything good with it. But I really like it on this card! I wanted to use the Sweet Treats stamp set from Verve, the frames are so lovely. The papers are My Mind's Eye, and so is the burlap trim. I cut it and frayed the edges ever so slightly.

Spinner Card
I made this spinner card for my son's friend's 2nd birthday. I You can find the tutorial HERE. My measurements are slightly bigger. Maybe a quarter of an inch on everything. I can't remember exactly. Sorry! I will probably make a few more of them for reserves so when I do, I will write all my measurements and let you know! I coloured the martian withcopic markers. Thought it was cute because it looks like it's doing cartwheels when it spins!

So Glad We're Friends
This sketch is for Mojo Monday 235. I used papers from the Charlotte's Dream collection from Kaisercraft. They are so pretty and feminine. I usually make birthday and thankyou cards, but put a friends sentiment on it for a change. I originally stamped the sentiment on the large white label, but it smudged ever so slightly, so I decided to put a scallop circle over it and stamp on that. Should I have told you all that? Lol! Hope you think it still turned out ok?? :)
Stamps: Unknown Stampin Up (an old Sale-a-bration perhaps? Sorry!)
Ink: Basic Grey, Cameo Coral (Stampin Up)

All Year Long
Hi there! I had to make a simple birthday card with blues and pinks for a friend of a friend, and this is what I came up with. Although I have to admit, I think it's my least favourite card I've done since starting my blog! Oh well, guess we all have days where we lose our mojo! I sponged the edges of the patterned paper with white ink to try and give it a softer textured look.

Happy Thoughts
This has to one of my favourite cards I've made. I just love that teal colour and hedgehog image! I never put that Aim High stamp set away from the last card, and I thought the sentiment would be perfect for this card. It's Your Birthday!
One of my son's friend's turned 2 yesterday, and this is the card I made for her. It's similar to a card I posted earlier with the grass and cloud (both hand cut). But I used a balloon punch I bought ages ago instead of the kite stamp that comes in the stamp set. This is the first time I've used it and I think it looks so cute!

Birthday Greetings
I'm getting a bit low on stamps to use :( I seriously need to buy a heap more! I've just been making so many cards, and I don't like to use the same ones too often! This stamp from the Penny Black set "Wonderful Day" is big, and I've always avoided it for that reason. But I had a few ovals pre-cut and saw it fit perfectly, so I had a go! It's an unusual colour combination - Baja, yellow and burgundy, but I think it works ok?? But oh how I wish I could machine stitch. My faux stitching is pitiful! Lol!
Stamps: Wonderful Day (Penny Black), Big Wish (Verve)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics
